Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Your photos stay on your device. Kaiho Photo does not upload your photos for editing, and it does not include advertising, analytics, or automatic crash-reporting services.

Who we are

This policy applies to the Kaiho Photo Android application (package com.kaihophoto.app). “Kaiho Photo” is the trading name used by the Developer identified as the seller in Kaiho’s Google Play listing. The Developer is the controller of personal information received directly through support or privacy requests. Questions or requests can be sent to KaihoPhoto@outlook.com.

Information the app accesses

How information is used

Information accessed locally is used to provide photo editing and export features, remember your choices, and verify Pro access. Information you voluntarily send is used to respond to you, investigate the issue you reported, protect the app from abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Depending on the circumstances, these uses are based on providing the service you requested, your choice to contact us, legitimate interests in supporting and securing Kaiho, or a legal obligation.

On-device processing

Photo editing, subject detection, masks, and AI denoising run locally on your device. Kaiho does not send your photos to the developer or to an AI server for processing.

Sharing and third-party services

Kaiho does not sell personal information. The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or an automatic crash-reporting SDK. Information leaves the app only when you initiate an action or when needed for a service you request:

This website

This legal and support website is hosted by GitHub Pages. We do not add analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms, or marketing cookies to it. GitHub may process standard connection and request information to deliver and secure the website under GitHub’s own privacy statement.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Project data, settings, working files, and temporary files are stored on your device. Temporary data may be cleared by Kaiho or Android. You can delete app data through Android settings or remove it by uninstalling the app. Exported photos remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Feedback emails and attachments are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate the reported issue, prevent repeated abuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain related records. They are then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. You may request deletion by emailing us from the same address used for the message. Purchase records retained by Google are controlled by Google and applicable legal requirements.

Security

Kaiho limits access to selected images and stores private app data within Android’s app storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled.

Children’s privacy

Kaiho is a general-audience photo editor and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app.

Your choices

You control which photos you open, whether EXIF metadata is retained, what you share, whether diagnostics are attached to feedback, and whether you send an email. Android settings let you review or revoke photo permissions.

International processing and privacy rights

If you contact us, your message may be processed in the country where the Developer legally resides and in countries where your email provider, Microsoft, Google, or GitHub operates. Privacy laws differ between countries. Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information received by us, you may exercise those rights by contacting us. We may need to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Kaiho’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be revised when an update is published.
